The cost for a party is $15 per hour.  We can supply white cotton blank shirts for $4 each, or the kids can choose to bring their own laundered white 100% cotton items.  Dying is charged by the piece.  T-shirts are $6 to dye, socks are $3.50, and shorts are $5.

There is so much more to henna painting than meets the eye.  The art of mehndi has been practiced for at least 5,000 years throughout Africa, India, and other Middle Eastern countries.  This practice has long been performed in the spirit of celebration among women, and it is believed that when exercised with positive intentions it can bring good fortune and good feelings to those participating.  Women applied henna to each other before weddings, births, and other rites of passage with desires such as protection, love, luck, as well as spiritual or material wealth in mind.  It is believed that if your Mehndi turns very dark it is a sign of a woman's love, or of the love her husband holds for her.

Host a henna party just for fun, or to celebrate a special occasion, such as a memorable shower.  Having a Mehndi party is a wonderful way to bring this art into the lives of your friends and family.  What a wonderful tradition is Mehndi! This is an opportunity to meet people and share an interesting experience.  This is an opportunity to learn about history, the history of other cultures and the history of women. This is an opportunity to continue a tradition- to continue of tradition of women.  Perhaps this is an opportunity to begin a tradition of your own!  Have a Mehndi design put on your body in the tradition of the women of the Eastern world.

View our henna website.

Parties are customized to suit your personal or company needs.

Private party rates are $50 per hour.  Designs take anywhere from 20 minutes to several hours.  Wedding henna takes from three to eight hours depending upon coverage
Remember:  Results depend upon individuals as well as skin areas.  Areas such as the hands and feet last longer than areas such as the back and shoulder.  Henna is best done in the evening, so that you can leave the paste on overnight for optimal results.

Tabletop Water Fountain

Everyone seems to want a fountain in their home.  Many artists and companies offer a variety of fountains to the public in a broad range of prices and styles, but nothing can compare to the feeling of accomplishment that will come from creating your own.  By building your own you not only save a great deal of money, but you are able to select the specific materials that will become a personal  sanctuary in your home.  The true joy is playing with the materials to create different sounds and looks that can be changed whenever you wish.

Materials List-Please bring these items to class with you:

*A large decorative and watertight bowl, deep enough for your pump plus at least 3 inches.  This will become the reservoir for your fountain.
*A small bowl, pot (or sea shell) made of earthenware, clay, wood, or any other drillable material.  This should be about ¼ the size of the large bowl, and will be the fountain piece from which water flows into the reservoir.
*River rock, shells, bones, arrowheads, marbles, any decorative element to use as filler and accent, enough to fill your large bowl.  Also bring at least three larger sized rocks.
**Keep in mind that these three elements will be your fountain.  They should accent each other nicely, and provide the look that you desire in a finished art piece.  Try shopping your local thrift stores and garage sales for your pieces.  You may want to have a couple of options on hand for the drillable small bowl.
*Underwater pump, 80 GPH.  The pump must be small enough to fit in your bowl.  Be sure it pumps water, not air.  These range in price from $15 to $20.  Try Menards or Michael's.
*Questions regarding materials may be directed to the instructor using the contact information below:
