Abalone Shell

Found in New Zealand and Mexico.

A feldspar named after the Amazon River. Said to soothe and calm tension and aggravation.

Found in Zambia and Brazil, amethyst is a beautiful stone affiliated with nobility and spritual awareness.

Found in Argentina, said to be a nurturing stone, which lifts your feelings into freedom and fosters truth, stability, and understanding.

Baltic Amber

Fossilized tree sap from 30 to 50 million years old, amber is a special stone long said to soothe babies who are teething. Amber is always warm to the touch, and the word "amber" is derived from the old Arabic word "anbar", but greek "elektron", the origin of the word electricity. If you rub amber on a cloth it becomes charged with negative electricity. Amber jewelry has been made since before the time of Christ; and at the height of the Roman Empire amber was called "Gold of the North". It is thought that wearing amber jewelry will instill confidence in the wearer, balance a person's mood, and lessen depression and anxiety.

Found in Brazil, pretty enough to eat - if you like agates that is.

Found in brazil, onyx is a popular tradtion in jewelry making. Believed to be a protection stone that absorbs and transforms negative energy.

Bloodstone

This chalcedony is attributed with giving one the courage to follow their heart.

Carnelian

From India, this chalcedony is named for the color of the Kornel cherry. It is said to be a stone of protection from anger, jealousy, and fear. Also said to calm fears of death and rebirth.

Coral

I have never been a big coral fan, and I only do coral pieces upon request. I worry about the clown fish, where will they live if their anemones lose their homes?

Garnet

Garnets have been known to Man for thousands of years. Noah, it is said, used a garnet lantern to help him steer his ark through the dark night. Garnets are also found in jewellery from early Egyptian, Greek and Roman times. Many an early explorer and traveller liked to carry a garnet with him, for the garnet was popular as a talisman and protective stone, as it was believed to light up the night and protect its bearer from evil and disaster. Today, science has taught us that the garnet's proverbial luminosity comes from its high refractive index.
